Story Of Major Tash The Vibrant Artist

"Business is business my family has to eat being ordained as a pastor did not change the way I do my business as an artist" said Shingirai Tash Kazami who is known by his stage name Major Tash. The upcoming artist started singing in 2004 when he was 13 years old, " I started singing along Winky Dee's song Ndiri Rasta and I could sing it like my own song because by then I couldn't write my own song so I always sang his song and people could encourage me to write my own songs but it wasn't easy to do that until my brother heard a song on radio from Mudzonga and wrote the lyrics and gave it to me I didn't know it was someone's song so I went and record it and people loved it until Fizzman a friend of mine heard the song and told people that I had stolen someone's song" the artist further explained how this affected him but he didn't give up but rather he started writing his own music that was now in 2010. "Sekamwana kacheche" was his first song then "mukurarama " was his second song which made him to win this program on YGT which was his first time to be in ztv . Major Tee said going with your music to radio is easy but the DJs can't play your music if you don't give them money for that so if you don't have money your music won't be played there so this is one of the main reasons why he hasn't made it to where he thought he could be at this moment. " Beside being an artist I'm also a producer at Machief records and a business man, and I'm hoping that in the next 5years to come my studio will be recording all types of music because right now I don't have enough equipments and that's why I'm working very hard so as to buy the equipments needed" Major Tee is working on his gospel dancehall album called "makakodzera kunamatwa " which is being launched on 30 October in Domboshava . "I stopped smoking after I was ordained as a pastor but the feeling of being drunk is still in me so in the future I'm planning to be taking only wines but for now as I am leading by example I'm not taking anything strong, most of my friends have given up their life to Christ and are now going with me to Shalom Grace ministry whilst some haven't yet given their lives but they are hoping to do so anytime soon" .
